There are eight different combinations of Walt Disney World® Resort Theme Park tickets. As your Personal Travel Planner, I want you to know about your ticket options (the ones you need, and the ones you should skip). My first order of business is to give you the ticket basics. I will review each of the Theme Park Ticket Types below, and make recommendations based on your travel dates, budget and family vacation preferences.
Tip number one... Did you know that it's only about $5 per person to add each additional park day to a 4 day ticket, up to 10 days? These are the kinds of things every family should know when considering how long to stay on property (and is just one of dozens of helpful tips that I share with my Disney families).
Good to Know: The Basics
- Children 10 and up are considered an adult.
- Children 3-9 tickets are discounted.
- Children 2 and under are free.
- Florida Residents receive a discount.
- You do not have to use your days consecutively. Park tickets are good for 14 days after their first day of use.
Magic Your Way Base Ticket
Sold in increments of 1 to 10 days, and allows entry to the Walt Disney World® Resort Theme Park of your choice. If you want to visit more than one park per day, you must add the Park Hopper® option to your ticket.
The Park Hopping Option (or Park Hopper®)
This will allow you to visit more than one Theme Park on the same day.
The Water Parks Fun & More Option
This will allow entry into the two Disney Water Parks, DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme Park, Disney’s Oak trail Golf Course and Disney’s Wide World of Sports.
- For each day purchased on your Magic Your Way Base Ticket, you will receive an equal number of entries into the above attractions.
- As an example... A 3 Day Magic Your Way Base Ticket + the Water Parks & More option = 3 Days worth of entries into the Theme Park of your choice + 3 Entries into your choice of Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme Park, Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course or Disney’s Wide World of Sports. Notice that the Water Parks Fun & More option is based on the number of entries, not per days. For this reason, you could, in theory, enter Blizzard Beach and DisneyQuest on the same day. This does not apply to the theme park portion of your tickets. You will need the Park Hopper® option to enter more than one park per day. (You would not be able to use another "day's entry" to visit a different park on the same calendar day.)
- The Water Parks Fun & More option can be added to a Magic Your Way Base Ticket OR to a Magic Your Way Base Ticket with the Park Hopper® option.
The Non-Expiration Option
This option will allow you to save unused days on your tickets for future visits.
- Parties are held from 7pm – midnight at the Magic Kingdom® Park, and include a one-of-a-kind parade, a unique fireworks show over Cinderella's Castle, treats (like candy for the Halloween Party, and hot cocoa and cookies for the Christmas Party), special photo ops and dance parties with the characters, and more.
- There are a limited number of tickets sold which means that often times you can have the park "to yourself" (on non-peak party nights).
- Tickets are non-refundable and are non-transferrable.
