The Disney
Dining Plan is an
option for guests booking a package stay (resort and theme park tickets) at
a Disney World resort. As of January 2008, there are now two versions
of the Dining Plan offered: The Basic Dining Plan and The Deluxe Dining
Plan.
The basic
plan includes two meals and one snack per person, per night of your stay.
The two meals are made up of one counter service (walk up) and one table
service (sit down) meal per person. Each meal includes an entree,
non-alcoholic beverage and dessert per person. Snacks include popcorn,
soda, ice cream, fresh fruit, bakery goods (perfect for breakfast) and
dozens more items.
The deluxe
dining plan includes three meals, two snacks and a refillable mug per
person, per night of your stay. This plan gives you the flexibility to
choose three meals from table OR counter service. Table service meals
include an appetizer on this plan, in addition to the entree, non-alcoholic
beverage and desert per person.
Dining can be
a delightful addition to your vacation and the plans are a great value for
the money. There are more than 100 restaurants located throughout the
WDW resort parks, hotels and Downtown Disney, and some have outstanding
cuisine. The
popular Character Dining experiences (Mickey and friends, Pooh and Princess
make up just a few of the dozen or more character meals) are included in the
plan, and you aren't
limited to a select menu... Order anything you like! Adding the dining
plan also gives you the true cost of your vacation. The only extra
money you will need will be be souvenirs and tipping.
